What is photoaging?

At the end of the last century, scientists noticed that people who spend a lot of time in the sun begin to feel negative skin changes much earlier. They manifest themselves in the form of increased keratinization (hyperkeratosis), pigmentation, a network of fine wrinkles, increased dryness and sagging. With age, the skin folds deepen, the thickness of the dermis gradually decreases, and the oval of the face is deformed. A person looks older than his biological age, his skin becomes "wrinkled", dry, devoid of elasticity.

The process of damage to the skin by ultraviolet rays, similar to age-related changes, is called photoaging.

Mechanism of photoaging

Influencing the skin, UV rays damage cell membranes, protein molecules and nucleic acids. As a result of such defects, cells gradually lose the ability to perform their functions: they stop dividing, degrade and die. The inability to retain moisture leads to dry skin, loss of firmness and elasticity, and the appearance of fine wrinkles. In addition, the destructive effect of ultraviolet radiation causes the expansion of capillaries, the appearance of spider veins and age spots.

Photoaging can be distinguished from age-related changes by comparing the skin of the face and other areas of the body that are much less likely to be exposed to sunlight. In addition, the results of this process begin to appear much earlier than the natural aging of the skin.

Photoaging prevention

An effective measure to prevent photoaging is the use of sunscreen. The new products of the Sun Care line contain the latest sunscreens that comply with European standards, they provide effective protection against UVA, which causes premature skin aging and cell destruction.
Thanks to its effective formula, sunscreens have a triple effect:

Protect skin from UVA and UVB
Prevent premature aging
Provide enhanced moisturizing effect
Active ingredients of Sun care preparations:

Uvinul® A Plus is an innovative anti-aging ingredient that can neutralize UVA radiation, does not weigh down the texture of the cream, enhances the effect of other components

OTZ 10 PRO_TAURINE - neutralizes free radicals and toxic substances formed under the influence of UVA. Prevents skin oxygen stress and promotes cell renewal

Vitamin E - neutralizes UVB, acts as an antioxidant, moisturizes the skin

Shea butter - softens and moisturizes the skin

Hyaluronic acid - moisturizes, helps to retain moisture in the skin. Attracts water from the environment and keeps the skin hydrated

Bisabolol - herbal extract of chamomile, soothes, prevents the development of inflammation

TINOSORB M is a new high-performance solar filter based on molecules that scatter the sun's rays. Such an effective combination of sunscreens makes these products the drugs of choice after professional chemical peels, invasive procedures (laser, injections)
